Love in Action
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
— 1 John 3:18
Love is a verb. It's not just something we feel or say—it's something we do. And John makes it clear: love without action isn't really love at all.
It's easy to say "I'll pray for you" and mean it. But sometimes love means showing up with a meal. Sitting with someone in their grief. Helping them move. Watching their kids so they can rest. Offering your time, your presence, your hands.
This is what Jesus modeled. He didn't just talk about love—He washed feet, healed the sick, fed the hungry, and ultimately gave His life. He showed us that real love costs something. It requires sacrifice, time, inconvenience, discomfort.
Love in action might not always be convenient. It might interrupt your plans. It might ask more of you than you feel ready to give. But that's when it becomes most powerful—when we love not because it's easy, but because it's right.
Project Blossom exists because someone decided to love in action. To connect families with resources. To serve the overlooked. To build community. And every act of service—no matter how small—reflects the heart of God.
You don't have to do everything. But you can do something. One act of kindness, one moment of generosity, one gesture of love—it all matters. Because love in action changes the world, one person at a time.

Lord, teach me to love with more than words. Show me opportunities to serve, to give, to act in love. Let my faith be lived out loud through the way I care for others. Amen.
